Testimonials

These are excerpts of emails received from Bud Williams Marketing School attendees:

Hi Ann,

I just attended the BWM school you put on in Brandon, MB and have to say that you did a great job. Thank you for being such a dynamic and enthusiastic instructor; I didn’t yawn, or day dream one single time in 2 days!

I’m quite keen on the BWM philosophy . . . I plan on using the principles in the future.

Manitoba, 2008

Dear Ann,

The BWM course in Saskatoon changed my whole attitude towards the cattle business. Up to this point, my only involvement with our cow/calf enterprise was to prepare the accounts and fill in Government paperwork. Your course has made me a dangerous person – we have already had two heated arguments about how to apply what you taught. However, unlike other situations when our opinions differ, I understand that what you taught is so important, I am willing to work through any difficulties to make our business profitable.

Loving Wife, Saskatchewan, 2008

Ann,

Thanks for the exceptional class in Saskatoon. I will admit I was very skeptical but determined to have an open mind and to hear what you had to say. I have already recommended the course to all I have spoken to and will continue to do so.

Saskatchewan, 2008

Hello Ann,

Again I would like to thank you for coming to Johnson, KS last week. Hands down, it was the most exhilarating class I have ever attended.

Kansas, 2007

Ann,

I wanted to say thank you for the presentation in Johnson, KS last week. I have not been this excited about our family’s stocker and back grounding operation for a long time. My wife and I have a family meeting set for Tuesday.

I have called all of my cattle customers and strongly encouraged them to enroll in a marketing class.

Kansas, 2007

Ann-

I was in your course in Calgary last January. After making some major changes, as of this past weekend I am in the cattle business. With no family assistance and nobody in either of our immediate families owning a square inch of farmland I have been blessed to be given the opportunity to get into the game. It is a long-time dream and I am thankful for the tools your [Bud’s] course provided. As I sat in the auction mart buying I thought that I couldn't imagine the nerves and tension involved if I was sitting there buying animals based on emotion and my best guesses as to the future.

I bought bred cows and I used the grid to come up with a $400/cow figure. I averaged $370/cow and considering that I was fairly impressed with the quality of animals available in that range. Thanks again for a well presented course.

Alberta, 2007

I enrolled my husband in the marketing school held in Tulsa last weekend. I must tell you, he wasn't too pleased with me for spending that kind of money on something he thought would be useless. He was of a completely different attitude when I met back up with him that first evening! He was completely impressed and EXCITED about the logic involved and ease of marketing this school taught.

Thank you so very much!!

Oklahoma, 2007

Ann,

...I took the course in Regina on Sept 21-22, 2007. After the course, I figured that I had better try this out, so at the next sale I bought 14 head. Last week I sold 5 head and replaced them at a $40.00 profit above and beyond my BPCOG. This was so easy to make that everyone thinks I am NUTS. Thank you again and I look forward to taking another school in the near future.

Saskatchewan, 2007

[There is a lot of pessimism and worry in Canada right now, but we must remember that for the skilled marketer, times like these can be the opportunity of a lifetime. When the mainstream is saying that a market is “bad”, that almost always means that huge profits are available. We just have to know where to look!]

Ann,

I attended the Bud Williams marketing school in Cheyenne last week, and I'd like to say that was the most professional, clear, and interesting presentation I have ever witnessed. Well Done!

Nebraska, 2007

Ann-

I just wanted to send you a quick message thanking you for putting on the Bud Williams Marketing conference in Cheyenne. I really learned a great deal and can not wait to start using the new knowledge I gained.

Illinois, 2007

Hello Ann,

I have wanted to email you many times over the last couple of years to let you know how things are working for us, but I know that you are very busy and thought one less email was helpful. Sell/Buy is still awesome! We started by selling some cows and moving into the stocker market and now we are up to 130 head and hope to keep it there with sell/buying every 1 -2 months. To add a real personal note, we have been in the process over the last year and a half (shortly after taking the course in Edmonton) of adopting two boys from Ethiopia. We are traveling there at the end of the month to bring them home. The most amazing thing is that every time money was due for fees, we did a sell/buy and we were able to pay everything on time. I can honestly say that I am so glad that the Lord is in control.....I laugh when I think of how often we think that we are.

Saskatchewan, 2007

[I am never too busy for email! It might take me a few days to respond if I am super-busy, but I always want to hear from you! I’ll put the two boys down for my Saskatoon school in the year 2022!]

Ann-

Thanks for a great class and the opportunity to expand my marketing skills and move away from a production mentality.

Texas, 2007

Ann-

That was awesome!! Thank you for sharing that with us. It was a life changing seminar for me. All these years it was buy calves, put on 200-300#, sell, wait for wheat, buy 4 weights, sell in May. I try to sleep but I just keep running those numbers, figuring those returns on the gain, breakprofit costs of gain, figuring what is undervalued or overvalued. It is exciting. I can't wait...

Texas, 2007

Ann-

Once again, thanks for the wonderful class in Fort Worth. This class will help me get started in the cattle business with confidence. I grew up on a livestock operation, got a degree in agriculture, and watched my dad go bankrupt, not once, but twice. This scared me away from it and sent me into manufacturing industry. I have longed to get back into it and with this simple information, I plan to.

Texas, 2007

Ann-

What a dynamic learning experience on July 13 & 14. I've grown up in the cattle business without knowing what the business is all about until you [through Bud] showed me the way. It's taken 60 plus years to find "the secret" and I plan to utilize it to the fullest.

My sincere appreciation for a great learning experience.

Texas, 2007

Ann -

Thanks again for your excellent presentation in Fort Worth. The information you provided was very significant to me in that it produced a paradigm shift in how I think about the cattle markets.

Texas, 2007

Ann,

I feel like a kid with a new toy that I can’t wait to play with. I’m excited to begin to “play with” the marketing skills you revealed to me. Thank you for giving your time to educate our youth, they are the only hope we have for a strong cattle industry in the future. I would like to get my 16 year old son into your school at some point.

Texas, 2007

Ann,

This is the greatest thing since buttered bread.

Kansas, 2007

Ann,

You may have to add to your curriculum instruction on what we are to do with all our free time since we don't spend our days staring at our computer screen or listening to the radio for the markets or the latest ramblings of some broker. I can't join in on the conversation at the coffee shop and my wife says we just don't talk anymore. I may have to look for a hobby.

P.S. I ordered Bud's stockmanship tape; everyone, no matter what type of cattle they raise, needs to watch this more than once.
Kansas, 2007

Ann,

I really enjoyed the school last week; everyone needs to attend more than one. It not only reinforces the ideas and smoothes out the rough spots, but once you have tried sell-buy marketing and see that it does work you are able to absorb more information.

Kansas, 2007

Ann-

People have a hard time letting go of the $500 because they don’t understand how useful this course is. I have tried to explain to people that it costs $750 to take a 3 hour grad course in something like statistics – which has nothing to do with anything, but they can’t relate. I don’t know what to tell people to make them understand.

Kansas, 2007

[Don’t sweat it. People come to a school when they are ready to come. Some folks will never come, no matter what. It really is an emotional dynamic that has to be allowed to play itself out, person by person.]

Ann-

Thank you so much. My brother and I had given up on the cattle market and we had been looking for a way to sell or rent out the lot. You opened up a whole new adventure into these markets. Our banker was once a cattle feeder, is now very excited to start again and very ready to send other customers.

Kansas, 2007

Ann-

You are truly blessed with talent as a motivational speaker and educator. I do not recall ever getting choked up and teary-eyed at a business meeting. Your presentation of Bud Williams’ ideas really brought a lot of things I've gathered and used from old-timers together. I've always spent a lot of time on the swap and looking for the advantages it offers, you've gave me more to work with. You will be hearing from me a lot.

Kansas, 2007

Ann,

First off I was to thank you for the great marketing workshop you put on in Council Bluffs in December. The information was exciting and eye opening for business and profits. My brother and I learned a lot and are excited about being in the cattle business.

Certified Public Accountant, South Dakota, 2007

Ann,

[My wife] didn’t think much of it when I spent the $500 on the class in Kansas City, however NOW it’s the best money I ever invested . . . She always believed I never told anybody about the class because I was embarrassed. She now realizes it’s my advantage over everyone else.

Nebraska, 2007

Ann-

Thank you for your [Bud’s] wonderful schools and this fabulous website. I would feel totally naked without it.

Nebraska, 2007

I possess two Masters' degrees (library science and English lit) and have taught at the college and university levels. I also spent 8 years in the Marine Corps. Consequently, I have seen a great deal of instructional periods. Considering that, I wish to say that the quality of your work/presentation is excellent and you rank very high, in my estimation, as an instructor. Thank you for your time and knowledge.

California, 2007

I've been to a lot of schools and this one picked up the financial/marketing end that the others didn't hit on...or even touch!! You helped complete the circle of operation in my opinion! MANY THANKS and I will be calling with questions as I get into it!!

Oklahoma, 2007

Ann,

I wanted to thank you for a wonderful marketing school. I definitely learned more practical information that will set me up for life in two days than in three years of college!

Washington, 2007

Hi Ann!!

I attended the school at Calgary, AB on Jan 26 & 27. Just wanted you and Bud to know this is excellent knowledge for our young backgrounding operation in Alberta and we are already selling our most overpriced cattle and gettin' ‘em replaced handily with profit!! Thanks very much for the very positive boost!

Alberta, 2007

Hi Ann

Thanks for the great workshop in Calgary. Yours certainty was the push I needed. I have some steers selling at the auction this afternoon, and can't wait to get in and buy back. Two of the boys from the Youth Ranch came with me and are already encouraged by what we are doing. One of them even asked me at the auction, "how much money would we make if we bought that one at that price?” He's already got it figured out that we make money on the buy, very exciting.

Alberta, 2007

Hi Ann,

I just wanted to thank you for the course this weekend in Calgary.

I never believed people when they said that one cannot make money with cattle. Thank you for showing me a way to prove them wrong! I am not one to go with the crowd so I am anxious to do this and see what they say.

Alberta, 2007

Ann-

Thank you for the marketing class at Yuma. You gave my young ag econ major cousin a new HOPE and perspective. For that we are grateful.

Kansas, 2006

Ann,

Is this real or have I crossed over with Dorothy and Toto to Oz?

California, 2006

Hi Ann,

I attended your school in Council Bluffs this past weekend. I just wanted to thank you for opening my eyes. Bud's way of marketing has eliminated the pain in my stomach that comes from worrying about whether a profit will happen. We have to speculate enough with the grain market (we farm 4,500 acres, half corn, half soybeans) so this really eases the stress and puts the fun and confidence back in the cattle business for me. You have a great way of teaching, you are a natural.

Iowa, 2006

Hi Ann-

As far as making money in the cattle business, I have never been this excited and confident about anything in my life. EVER. Thank you Ann for doing what you do.

Iowa, 2006

Ann

I would like to thank you for the school in Council Bluffs. The lights finally came on just before dinner Saturday and I believe I can do this.

Thank you again for your school. The concept of just working inside a market has my head spinning. What a relief it would be to not worry about what I can’t control. I have only ever wanted two things; to be successful in the cattle business, and raise my kids to be better than I am. I am excited to come back to another school in the future and bring both of them along.

Nebraska, 2006

Dear Ann:

You did a wonderful presentation in Austin, Texas. I appreciate you giving mature teenagers free tuition.

Texas, 2006

Ann,

I want to thank you for the class in Seattle. . . . since graduating from high school in 1982, the cattle business is all I have ever wanted to do, but I couldn’t find a way to do it. Bud Williams Marketing is the way. I told my wife when I got back from Seattle that outside of accepting Christ as my Savior, marrying her and having our daughter three months ago, Bud Williams Marketing is the fourth best thing to happen to me in my life.

Idaho, 2006

Hello, Ann -

Thanks again for a well-presented and informative workshop.

Wyoming, 2006

Ann,

My son and I thought you gave an excellent presentation of the materials, very smooth, no searching around for words or stammering. Your material flowed and you didn't read every word on the slides, they emphasized what you were saying and helped us keep up but didn't distract.

Oklahoma, 2006

Hello Ann,

I would like to start by thanking you for bringing and teaching Bud's marketing methods back to Canada. I am glad I took the Saskatoon school. I just wish I had learned this method years ago, it would have saved a lot of money, and made a lot of money!

Saskatchewan, 2006

Hi Ann,

I recently attended your school in Nisku, AB. It was a spur of the moment decision that I am greatly thankful for. The paradigm shift is huge and I wasn't sure how my husband would respond with everything. Praise the Lord, for he tells me that this gives him a great peace and he is excited to get started. As a matter of fact, we have some overvalued stock that he has already booked to sell. We have a general idea of our BPCOG, but I am furiously trying to get an exact number to work with. We want to live our life giving credit to the One who is all knowing and this style of marketing allows us to run the business doing just that. Your positive energy is a ray of hope and a blessing when surrounded by discouraged farmers.

Ann,

. . . That was the best $500 I have ever spent.

Ann,

I've been a CPA for 20 years and must have 40 hours per year of continuing education every year to maintain my license. I've also attended countless seminars, courses and presentations in the banking, trust, and investment banking areas in my 29 year business career.

That said, I have never attended a seminar wherein I left the conference with such excitement and anxiety to put what was learned to work as when I left the conference in Florida nor have I had the feeling that what I learned can actually be put to use in a productive and profitable way. I actually crunched numbers on the plane back to NM.

As a "numbers" guy having been involved in hundreds of millions of dollars in public finance transactions over the past 15 years and in advising clients in business matters prior to that, the relative simplicity and the potential results to be gained by implementing and working the BWM program is probably the best tool I've been presented in any context.

I look forward to the exchange of ideas - I just wish I had made it to an earlier class. Oh, well - I guess that's just water under the bridge just like the amounts I PAID for what's in my inventory! I WILL be renewing my subscription to BudWilliamsMarketing.com when it expires in 102 days...

Dear Ann,

This has been the most valuable experience we have had in terms of applying real-world economics to our ranch and being able to determine our income.

Alberta, 2006

Dear Ann,

Your enthusiasm in combination with the incredible logic has given me a new lease on the cattle business.

My mind has been spinning since I started learning this great stuff!
